ThunderBall Films, S.R.L. Chairman-CEO, Mario Domina and Composer, Rey Fernandez, Jr. with his Agent, Gloria Soto of Max Steiner Agency in Hollywood have executed a Letter of Intent to add Rey Fernandez, Jr. as Composer to the ThunderBall team.
Rey is a Cuban American film and videogame composer, orchestrator, and producer. Rey had a great musical influence in his childhood from his parents at an early age where he studied the violin, piano, and trumpet giving him the basic foundational knowledge in music.
He is the son of acclaimed writer, composer, and producer, Reynaldo G. Fernandez Pavon, Producer of the Grammy Award band, Irakere, his Mother, Dulce M. Veiga, a violinist and orchestra musician.
Rey started his career in music as an audio engineer, after studying at Miami International University of Art & Design (The Art Institutes), white being tutored
by noted arranger and composer Narciso Valdes. Rey also took masterclasses with Norman Ludwin and Conrad Pope Hollywood orchestrators.
Continuing his studies, Rey advanced to complete a master’s degree in Film and Television Scoring at the famed Berklee College of Music.
Later, his collaborations with film colleagues were vital to his career among his vast influences from classical music as well as modern contemporary music.
